Bear Cottage
Bear Cottage is an uplifting and inspiring place where life is celebrated, lived to its fullest and fondly remembered. What matters most at Bear Cottage is that every child and their family enjoys time together to the fullest and is given opportunities to create special memories and receive support.
They care for children from across Australia and from all walks of life and cater for the entire family. The team works closely with each family throughout the care of their child and ongoing bereavement support.
They set up to provide excellence in paediatric palliative care 24 hours a day, and because we are part of The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network we have access to some of the best medical resources in the world.
Afghan Women on the Move
Afghan Women on the Move (AWOTM) supports the health, mental wellbeing, individual growth and development of Afghan and other women of diverse backgrounds in Australia. Given the circumstances of their recent trauma, they are particularly focused on providing practical and mental health support to women who newly arrived from Afghanistan.
Their goal is to support women to find their voice and empower them with the tools and resources they need to feel valued, and their differences respected. They are creating the opportunity for women to participate in all aspects of community life.
They provide our Afghan and multicultural women with opportunities to grow and develop in a safe place. We use social engagement, settlement support, art therapy and other forms of healing.
